Liverpool have finally announced the signing of Diogo Jota from Wolves where he spent the last three seasons of his career and has penned long term deal with the Reds.
The Anfield landlords took to their official social media account on Saturday evening, September 19, to announce the latest development.
Also the Reds are reportedly interested in the loan signing of Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele before the end of transfer window.
The decision for Liverpool chiefs to go for the France international comes days after they signed Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich in the defense of their title.
But midfield is not the only area Liverpool want to strengthen, with Klopp also having been keen to bring in a new winger to provide cover and genuine competition for his first-choice front three.
Reds have been heavily linked with Watford’s Ismaila Sarr who is likely to cost in excess of £40m, but may instead opt for a cheaper alternative.
According to the report on Sport, Liverpool have made their offer to sign Dembele this summer and it will only be on loan capacity.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Liverpool who are the reigning Premier League champions have reportedly agreed £45 million deal with fellow English club Wolves over the signing of Diogo Jota.
Despite winning the League title last season in remarkable style, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is still trying to bolster his squad this term in all competitions.
The German tactician made Jota his priority after landing super midfielder Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich who beat PSG last term to win the Champions League.
The 23-year-old Portuguese attacker will be back-up for main men Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino at Anfield.
Mohamed Salah, Firmino and Sadio Mane has been leading the attack for Liverpool for the past three seasons and they have also won the Champions League title.
Last three seasons when they first got to the final, Liverpool suffered a 3-1 defeat against Real Madrid, but they made a return last two terms and beat Spurs in the final.
