Asisat Oshoala took time out to visit the royal Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi (Kusenla III) of Ikate-Elegushi Kingdom expressing delight.
The Super Falcons’ striker posted a picture of herself and the Oba on her social media handle describing the moment as ‘a great honour’.
Recall that at the age of 34, Oba Saheed Ademola succeeded his late father, Oba Yekini Adeniyi Elegushi (Kusenla II), who died at age 69, in 2010.
On April 27 this year, he celebrated his 10 years anniversary on the throne; although what would have been a grand celebration was limited to a family prayer session at that time when the pandemic was at its peak in Nigeria.
It was gathered that the Oba a very busy individual who welcomes guests from all and sundry everyday.
“Courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi (Kusenla III) of Ikate-Elegushi Kingdom.....A great honour,” Asisat Oshoala wrote, tagging the king’s official Instagran handle and Plug Sports.
And this is coming barely four days that Top Nigerian music star, David ‘Davido’ Adeleke, got fans buzzing on social media after paying a courtesy visit to one of the monarchs in the country, Oba AbdulWasiu Gbolahan Lawal of Oniru land.
The top singer, who is also the son of a successful businessman and billionaire, did not let his status affect things that are expected of him according to tradition.
Davido was spotted prostrating fully to the monarch as the moment was captured in photos. The Risky crooner also paid his respects to the queen, Olori Mariam Lawal.
The photos were shared on the official social media page of the Oba of Oniru and it was explained in the caption that the singer visited the palace with a renowned media practitioner and Seyi Tinubu.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Asisat Oshoala who currently spearheads the Barcelona Ladies’ attack seems to be living the life of her dreams despite growing up in the Ikorodu area of Lagos state, Nigeria.
The four-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year who, in January 2019, joined the Spanish outfit in an initial short term loan deal from Dalian Quanjian until the end of last season was rewarded with a permanent contract on June 1, 2019.
Her performances for the club earned her a two-year contract that will keep her in Catalonia until June 2022.
