Some citizens in Kaduna under the aegis of United Awareness Forum (UAF) have declared support for Senator Uba Sani, saying they will force him to vie for the governorship position of the state in 2023.
Uba Sani is the current senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly.
Conveners of a meeting of the UAF in Kaduna at the weekend, Usman Danliti and Ibrahim Tanimu told journalists that 2023 should be payback time for the senator's developmental strides so far, adding that he had consistently impacted positively on people’s life.

“We call on other potential aspirants for the governorship position in the state, even from all the political parties, to see reason and rally round, Senator Uba Sani, because of his record of achievements, even before now,” they said.
Some residents in Kaduna state are already drumming up support for the senator on social media.
Seun Taiwo wrote on Twitter: "Kaduna state needs continuity after our working governor is gone. We need a man that can continue the good work. Senator Uba Sani is that man. Come 2023, Kaduna await you, my leader. "
A supporter of the senator, "Adamu Waziri Barnawa, addressed him on Twitter with these words: Your destiny is too great, your assignment too important, your time too valuable. Do not let fear intimidate you.
Legit.ng had earlier reported that the Northwest Women Cooperative Society has described Sani as a rare leader with genuine concern for his people's wellbeing.
The women's group, in a statement signed by its leader, Habiba Muhammad, said the N80 million worth of foodstuffs distributed by the senator as Ramadan/lockdown palliatives are enough testimony of his genuine concern for his people.
The women's group observed that while most politicians, especially in the north only remember the people at election periods, very rare leaders like Senator Uba are almost all the time with their people.
Recall that the senator had unveiled a Ramadan support package targeting two million households in his senatorial district.
The two million households targeted span across the seven local government areas of Birnin Gwari, Giwa, Igabi, Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Chikun, and Kajuru that made up the senatorial district.
