Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara appears to have agreed to join Premier League champions, Liverpool, this summer.
The 29-year-old was part of the Bayern Munich squad that won the Champions League title after beating Paris Saint Germain 1-0 in the final of the competition.
Sources close to the Spaniard reveals he has agreed personal terms with the Merseyside outfit while enjoying an elongated break with his family in Barcelona according to Daily Mail.
He shared an adorable picture of himself and his family with the caption: "The four of us,' after he was given an extended break by the Bundesliga giants following the Nations League fixtures.
Thiago is looking for a new challenge having won seven German league titles, one Champions League among several other silverware.
The midfielder's current deal with the Bavarians will expire next summer and Bild confirms that the two parties have reached a concrete agreement.
However, Liverpool have not been able to reach a reasonable price with the Allianz Arena outfit over the transfer of the player.
Bayern are now ready to entertain any offer lower than £27.5million (€30m) for the attacker who is not expected back in training until next week. But we will be hoping to resolve his future as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Leroy Sane and Niklas Sule alongside other players have resumed training earlier this week.
Bayern boss Hansi Flick insisted that the former Barcelona midfielder is part of his plans for the 2020-21 season as they hope to conquer Europea again.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has been crowned the PFA Young Player of the Year after helping his side win their first Premier League title in over three decades.
The 21-year-old defender was also instrumental in the Reds' Champions League triumph two seasons back.
He scored four goals and assisted 13 others in all 38 English topflight encounters in the 2019-20 campaign.
