The crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) is far from being over, especially at the Zamfara state chapter of the party as members of Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa’s faction have disowned him.

According to Vanguard, the party members while disassociating themselves from Marafa’s activities, described the senator as a deadly spoiler of Zamfara state.

The members led by the ward chairmen forum of Marafa’s faction, Alhaji Shafi Musa, made the disclosure while addressing newsmen in Gusau, the state capital.

Musa revealed that the faction was no longer with the senator because of his ill intention to kill APC in Zamfara.

He went on to note that the two-time senator was working against APC in the state and the entire country, thinking that he would receive a federal appointment which President Muhammadu Buhari did not give.

He also explained that Marafa, a governorship aspirant of the APC, was romancing the PDP-led government where 30 percent of political appointments went to his loyalists.

Musa said Marafa during the 2019 elections brought Accord Party to Zamfara as an option for him to achieve his governorship ambition if the APC failed to nominate him as its candidate.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the crisis rocking the Zamfara chapter of the APC might soon be over if the political gladiators sheathe their swords and embrace peace.

The immediate past governor of the state, Abdulaziz Yari, said he is open to reconciliation with the aggrieved members of the party in the state.

APC lost all the elective positions in the state to the ruling PDP after the Supreme Court declared all the primary elections done by Yari's faction illegal.

Speaking on Tuesday, September 8, at the national secretariat of the APC shortly after meeting with the caretaker/extraordinary national convention planning committee, Yari said he is ready to reconcile with aggrieved members led by Marafa.
