Samuel Umtiti has been cleared to return to training after contracting the deadly coronavirus disease a few weeks back.
The France international who tested positive to the virus on August 14, has recovered after he was placed on self-isolation by the club.
The 26-year-old is currently recovering from an ankle injury since and did not travel with the team to participate in the Champions League in Lisbon.
He is the second Barca player to be confirmed as coronavirus positive after the club announced Jean-Clair Todibo as the first.
And several reports have been linking the Frenchman to return to his former club Lyon on loan for the entire season.
The Frenchman who won the World Cup with France in 2018 has endured a nightmare of injuries over the past two seasons.
He played 11 matches for La Blaugrana in their last campaign and 14 games in the 2018-19 season.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Paris Saint-Germain have recorded the most cases of coronavirus after Kylian Mbappe recently tested positive while on international duty.
The French striker scored the winning goal that gave Les Bleus the needed win against Sweden in their Nations League tie.
But the results of tests that were conducted on Monday, September 7, showed that the World Cup winner tested positive of the deadly virus.
Legit.ng had also reported that Kylian Mbappe will not be fielded when France take on Croatia at the ongoing UEFA Nations League and will also miss Paris Saint-Germain's season opener after testing positive for coronavirus.
No fewer than seven PSG players have tested positive for the infection in the last seven days including Mbappe's partner Neymar.
According to the French Football Federation (FFF) after tests were carried out ahead of the game against Croatia, Mbappe's result was positive.
