- Memphis Depay is now on the verge of making a big move to Spanish side Barcelona
- The Dutchman is said to have agreed personal terms with the Catalans
- Barcelona failed to win any title in all competitions last season
Dutch professional footballer Memphis Depay has reportedly agreed massive personal terms to join Spanish giants Barcelona this summer from French side Lyon.
Since Barcelona appointed new manager Ronald Koeman, he has been trying to rebuild the Catalans ahead of their campaign in the coming season.
Barcelona's embarrassing defeat against Bayern Munich in the Champions League made the Catalans chief to fire Setien and hired Ronald Koeman.
Ronald Koeman wants to bring some fresh legs into the Nou Camp so that Barcelona will be able to challenge for titles in the 2020/21 season.
According to the latest post by respected reporter Romano, Memphis Depay has agreed to move to the Camp Nou this summer.
He also explained that Barcelona chiefs now need to agree deal with Lyon before they can get the signature of the 26-year-old ex-Manchester United star.
The report added that Barcelona chiefs have not opened any discussion with Liverpool over possible transfer of Wijnaldum.
Barcelona fans are however still celebrating Lionel Messi for his decision to stay at the Nou Camp this summer and play for the side next term.
Messi was heavily linked with a move to join Guardiola at Premier League side Manchester City.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Barcelona chiefs have reportedly made it clear to new coach Ronald Koeman that they will prefer to sign Bayern Munich star Thiago Alcantara this summer and not Liverpool's Wijnaldum.
The Dutchman is said to be interested in Liverpool star Wijnaldum considering the fact that he has knew the player for years.
But according to Bild, his bosses at the Nou Camp are not interested in Wijnaldum and will rather back him to sign Thiago Alcantara.
However, Barcelona must be aware that signing Alcantara this summer will be hard based on the fact that the player has made it clear that he is not leaving Bayern Munich.
Premier League champions Liverpool are also interested in the signing of the player.
