For many ladies who are familiar with makeup, it is simply an attempt to beautify one’s face and enhance inherent beauty. However, the same cannot be said of a young makeup artist, Jane Richard, who recently talked about her talent in an exclusive chat with Legit.ng.
Richard has been scoring accolades from members of the internet community for her near-perfect precision when it comes to transforming her face into that of famous Nigerian celebrities.
She, however, attracted another round of social media accolades after she transformed her face into that of late Black Panther actor, Chadwick Boseman, in tribute to him.
Giving a clarification of what she does, the young lady disclosed that it is a combination of makeup and makeover, and she mastered the art through practice and repeated trials.
"No, I did not learn, I kept practising and the more I did, the better I became," Richard disclosed.
On the decision to be her own muse, the artist disclosed that she has always had a penchant for exploring art on herself, and she also knows her face well enough to know the desired manipulation she needs to make to achieve the desired look.

Richard said: "I have always loved to explore art on myself, and I know my face well enough to know how I could manipulate with makeup."
Speaking about the monetary reward of her craft, Richard said the only way she makes money is by running classes and teaching others who are interested in character makeup.
She, however, expressed her interest in setting up a professional studio someday in future.
Richard also made it clear that no celebrity has ever offered her monetary rewards but people like Kanayo. O. Kanayo, Don Jazzy have acknowledged her by reposting her work on their social media pages.
She said: "The only way I am making money from it right now is by running a class, teaching other people character makeup, but I hope to do it professionally by working for Nollywood for instance or having my own studio. No celebrity has given or promised me money. Although, Kanayo and Don jazzy have appreciated by reposting my work on their pages."

Richard also disclosed that the conventional beauty makeup and special effects are still part of the services she renders.
Interestingly, the talented lady said she bagged a degree in microbiology from the Nnamdi Azikwe University in 2019 and is currently undergoing the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.
"I graduated from Nnamdi Azikiwe University in 2019 and I studied Microbiology I’m also still an NYSC Corps member," she said.
Richard also disclosed that she hopes to pursue a full career in makeup.
Earlier on, Legit.ng reported that the young lady caught the attention of netizens after transforming her face into that of celebrated Nollywood actor, Ramsey Nouah.
Richard posted photos that captured the transformation process on her Instagram page. Members of the internet community who were impressed with her creativity flooded her comment section with positive remarks.
