Nigerian man finally realises dream of many years through Chevening scholarship

- After more than two decades of nursing the dream to study in the United Kingdom, a Nigerian man says he has finally achieved it

- Anthony Omudu disclosed that since he was 13, he had always craved for a UK degree

- The young man said Chevening scholarship has made his dream come true as he recently became a beneficiary

A Nigerian man basking in the euphoria of accomplishment has taken to social media to share how his dream of studying in the United Kingdom came true.

The man identified as Anthony Omudu took to his LinkedIn page to disclose that he had always nursed a dream of studying in the United Kingdom since he was 13.

He said the dream has been realised through Chevening scholarship as he recently became a beneficiary.

He expressed gratitude to God and to the government of the United Kingdom for making it possible.

Omudu wrote: "A UK degree has been a dream I've nursed from the age of 13. A dream of almost 2.6 decades has been realized today via chevening! I'm grateful to God and the UK government for making this happen!"

In other news, a Nigerian lady identified as Mfon Abia celebrated after being offered a job she did not apply for in the United States.

She said she got a call from The Academy, Miami, Florida, offering her a job and asking her to send her CV if she was interested.

She wrote: "I am pleased to announce to this Honourable House that come Monday, August 3rd 2020, I will no longer be a jobless Nigerian youth and will resume at The Academy, Miami, Florida, USA."

Mfon thanked those that recommended her for the job and also expressed gratitude to her LinkedIn followers for their support and encouragement.

As expected, Nigerians took to the comment section to congratulate her.

Niyi Tella wrote: "I'm not surprised you got a job in this fashion. You've been the type of person that is always willing to help even at your own discomfort. I'm a huge beneficiary of your kind heart. You're a great mentor to me and many other young professionals."
