- The Uruguayan will however have to negotiate an exit with his club Barcelona

- His decision to leave Barcelona will however have no bearing on whether his close friend Lionel Messi will leave or stay
Luis Suarez is set to become a Juventus player after agreeing personal terms with the Italian giants, according to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague.
The 33-year old is set to join Juventus on a free transfer, or a nominal fee is he manages to negotiate a smooth exit from Barcelona.
Despite still having a year left on his current deal with the Catalan giants, reports indicate he received a brutal phone call from the club where he was told he was surplus to new manager Ronald Koeman’s requirements.
The former Liverpool man is reportedly okay with being paid off for the final year of his contract.
Despite being heavily linked with a move to Juventus, the transfer is far from complete as it is subject to a number of procedures.
For one thing, Suarez would need to pass a citizenship test in Italy.
Notably, Suarez’s potential transfer to Juventus will have no bearing on Messi’s decision on whether to stay or leave Barcelona, according to reports.
The two are close friends not only on the football pitch, but on a personal level as well.
If the deal goes through unscathed, Suarez would be set for a sensational link up with Messi’s rival Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been in Juventus for two seasons after his move from Real Madrid.
Having arrived to Barcelona from Liverpool in 2014, Suarez went on to score an impressive 198 goals in 283 appearances for the Catalan club.
He ranks third in the club’s all-time goal scorers, with only Lionel Messi and Cesar placing ahead of him.
In his time with Barcelona so far, Suarez has lifted four La Liga titles as well as four Copa Del Reys, and the Champions League in 2015.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how French international Antoine Griezmann who currently plays for Spanish side Barcelona has explained that he wants his teammate Lionel Messi to remain at the club.
For more than a week now, the future of Lionel Messi at Barcelona has been the major discussions among football pundits, fans and lovers of the game.
Lionel Messi was disappointed with the club's embarrassing defeat in the Champions League against Bayern Munich who taught the Catalans a good football lesson.
