Lady accuses BBNaija of wrongly presenting narratives to viewers by skipping scenes

- Nigerian writer, Joy Isi Bewaji, has complained on social media about the ongoing BBNaija reality show

- Bewaji is of the opinion that the show organisers are pushing false narratives to the viewers by deliberately skipping scenes

- According to her, Ka3na and Praise’s romp under the sheets was shown but that of Erica and Kiddwaya was not aired

- She said that exploring the sexual activity of one woman in the house and not exploring that of others shows that there is no transparency

A Nigerian writer and obvious fan of the BBNaija show, Joy Isi Bewaji, has taken to social media via her Facebook page to slam organisers of the show and accuse them of lack of transparency.

According to Isi, the show organisers determine the narrative viewers have in their head because they decide freely what scenes to show and what scenes to skip.

Isi explained that this sort of behaviour determines what opinions the viewers have of the housemates and it not be the right one.

She wrote: “They determine whose sex scenes they want to show to skew narratives, and whose sex scenes to keep away from our screens.

These decisions affect the behaviour of viewers towards housemates, and who they decide to vote for.”

The writer questioned why the show organisers thought it best to show the time Ka3na and Praise had their moment under the sheets and refused to show viewers Erica and Kiddwaya's sexual activities in the Head of House lounge, only for fans of the show to hear her admitting it to another housemate.

She wrote: “It is from Erica's mouth we are hearing about blow jobs and all the sexual activities she shared with Kidd.

Big Brother didn't give us the opportunity to see these acts and reach our own conclusions.

Because for some reason, this Big Brother dude is obsessed with tweaking people's perception.

If Erica wasn't always a desperate cry from being a noodle, we would never know the exploits she had in its fullness with Kiddwaya... which in my opinion is kind of shady.”

Citing another example, Bewaji said that Lucy once accused victims of abuse for the crime that was done to them. The writer then labelled the housemate a r*ape apologist.

She then added that BBNaija organisers denied viewers from knowing the full extent of Lucy’s statement because the scene was cut off.

Bewaji said that fans of the show are hearing of things that happened from the mouths of the housemates rather than them getting the opportunity to see things for themselves.

According to her, they are powerful narratives and the organisers are lazy about how it affects voting power.
