Premier League side Chelsea have reportedly agreed stunning €80m deal with Bayer Leverkusen for the signing of 21-year-old German winger Kai Havertz.

This latest development will be a great one for all Chelsea fans considering how they have been waiting to know the number of signings before the coming Premier League season.

For the past three weeks, the Stamford Bridge landlords and Bayer Leverkusen chiefs have been talking on the deal involving the German footballer.

And according to the report on Sky Sports, Chelsea and Leverkusen finally agreed massive deal on Wednesday afternoon, September 2.

Havertz who is keen to join the club as soon as possible has not yet had a medical with Chelsea and remains with the Germany squad for their UEFA Nations League fixtures with Spain and Switzerland.

Kai Havertz's imminent arrival at Stamford Bridge means that the German will break the transfer record fee of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

He is set set to become Frank Lampard's seventh summer signing, following the arrivals of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr and Xavier Mbuyamba.

Chelsea will be playing in the Champions League next season and the Blues look fully prepared ahead of the championship.

Lampard and his wards failed to win any title last season in all competitions losing the English FA Cup final against Chelsea at the Wembley stadium.

Kepa missed the FA Cup final against Arsenal which was won by the Gunners and was also left out of the Champions League return leg against Bayern Munich.
