University of Ibadan emerges winner in the list of best varsities in Nigeria, Oxford tops world ranking

The recent ranking for the best Nigerian and world universities have been done. The University of Ibadan (UI) is the best in Nigeria, while University of Oxford is the best in the world.

According to a report by The Times Higher Education World University Rankings, the Nigerian universities were measured based on teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.

Below is the list of best universities in Nigeria:

3. University of Lagos

4. Covenant University

5. University of Nigeria

6. Obafemi Awolowo University

Moving to the world scene, the University of Oxford beat other institutions to be number one in the list of best universities in the world.

In 2019, the Times Higher Education World University Rankings had ranked it as the world’s number one university for the fourth successive year and it still maintained the same position.

However, California Institute of Technology, a private doctorate-granting research university in Pasadena, California, moved two spots down from its position. In 2019, it occupied the second spot, but this year, it is at 4th position.

The lady took to her LinkedIn page to narrate how her education almost ended after she finished secondary school.
