Lionel Messi's father Jorge and Barcelona chiefs had one on one meeting on Wednesday evening, September 2, on the future of the six-time Ballon d'Or award winner which ended stalemate.
This means that Jorge and Barcelona chiefs were unable to reach final conclusion on the future of Lionel Messi who has been linked with a move away from Nou Camp.
The Argentina international submitted a transfer request after Barcelona's ouster in the Champions League losing against Bayern Munich.
Barcelona also failed to retain their Spanish La Liga title which was won by their big rivals Real Madrid after the end of the 2019/20 season.
Due to the current situation about Lionel Messi at Barcelona, his father Jorge traveled to Spain to see the club's chiefs who maintained that the player is still part of their plans.
According to the report on UK Sun, the meeting between Barcelona chiefs and Jorge lasted for 90 minutes as the Catalans tried to convince the Argentine on why his son should stay.
