- Lionel Messi has been linked with a move to Manchester City this summer
- Pastor TB Joshua has advised the Argentine to maintain his healthy relationship with Barcelona
- Messi's father and Barcelona chiefs are expected to have a meeting on his future
Famous Nigerian Pastor Temitope Balogun Joshua has advised Argentina international Lionel Messi not to leave Spanish side Barcelona bitter and offended.
There have been serious concerns over the future of Messi after the Argentine told the club's chiefs that he wants to leave Nou Camp this summer.
The embarrassing Champions League defeat against Bayern Munich is believed to have masterminded Messi's decision to tell the club that he would leave.
And since he handed in a transfer request, Barcelona chiefs have been looking for ways to convince the six-time Ballon d'Or winner to stay at the club.
Messi's father Jorge has also arrived in Barcelona where he will have meeting with the Catalans' chiefs about the future of his son.
There are even reports that Jorge has concluded with Manchester City for Messi to move to the Premier League.
While speaking on his official twitter page, Prophet TB Joshua stated clearly that Messi should keep his superb relationship with Barcelona.
"It is not good advice for Lionel Messi to leave Barcelona bitter and offended.
"It is impossible to establish a healthy relationship with a person who left a previous relationship bitter and offended. This is my candid advice to Messi. History is our boss,'' the 57-year-old explained.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Barcelona chiefs were attacked by angry supporters of the club after they saw how the Catalans used the image of Lionel Messi to promote the club's new shirt for next term.
Despite the serious uncertainty surrounding the future of Messi at Barcelona, the club released the advert of their new home kit for next season with Lionel standing in the front.
This is an indication that Barcelona chiefs are not ready to allow the Argentine to leave Camp Nou this summer even though he has handed them a transfer request.
What Barcelona chiefs did appear to be a calculated move ahead of their important meeting with Messi's father Jorge who has landed in Spain.
Fans claimed that Barcelona chiefs should have channeled their energy more on how to convince Messi and his father rather than doing what will provoke the player.
