- Dani Ceballos is close to joining Arsenal on loan for the second straight season
- The Spanish midfielder was part of the Gunners FA Cup glory
- Real Betis are also interested in the Real Madrid player this summer
Arsenal are reportedly edging closer to sealing another loan move for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos this summer.
The Spaniard was part of the Gunners FA Cup triumph last season but has returned to his parent club as the La Liga giants commence their preparations for the new season.
Having enjoyed enough playing time at the Emirates Stadium last term, the player was said to have held talks with Mikel Arteta over a possible return to the North London club.
In his first loan spell, he scored two goals and assisted two others in 37 appearances across all competitions - and won the oldest cup in England to crown his efforts.
Meanwhile, SunSport reports that Ceballos is wanted by two top clubs despite joining the rest of Los Blancos stars in training.
The publication can confirm that Arsenal boss Arteta seems to have made a major breakthrough in the quest to sign the player.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano insists that North Londoners are in the advanced stage of their negotiations with Madrid and a loan deal should be done "soon".
However, the Premier League outfit will not have the chance to sign the player on a permanent transfer after the clause was excluded from the deal.
The transfer expert tweeted: "Arteta has called Ceballos to convince him - three bids turned down to come back to #AFC. Greenlight from Real Madrid soon."
Real boss Zinedine Zidane is weighing his options on the midfielder and he is in no rush to allow him to leave the squad this summer.
Arteta spoke openly on Ceballos' future and made it no secret of his desire to bring him back.
He said: "Well, we have had some talks and Dani knows really well what I think about him.
“He was pretty clear with me as well that his intention was to remain with us, but obviously Real Madrid is involved and I don’t know yet what they want to do with the player.
“But he’s a player that we are interested in because we really saw, in the last few months of the season, what he is capable of bringing to us."
Real Betis are other team jostling for the signature of the Spanish midfielder who celebrated Arsenal after their Community Shield success against Liverpool.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Gabriel Magalhaes has arrived in London to complete his £27million move to Premier League side Arsenal.
The 22-year-old has been linked to several top European clubs including Man United, Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli but the Gunners seemed to have won the race for the center-back.
