Nigerian coach Ndubuisi Egbo has landed another career achievement after steering his club FK Tirana to a 2-0 win over Dinamo in the Champions League qualifying game.

The ex-Super Eagles goalkeeper is now the first African coach to record a win in the Champions League after his side's victory over Dinamo on Wednesday night, August 19.

Terrassa gave Ndubuisi Egbo‘s led side the lead at the stroke of half time, before Celhaka scored second in the 86th minute to give FK Tirana a good win.

Egbo and his wards will now be hoping that they do well in the Champions League second leg for them to make it to the final round of the qualifiers which could lead them to the group stage.

Ndubuisi Egbo is also the first African to win a League title in Europe when he led FK Tirana to the Albanian league crown last season.

And since he recorded this success, the Nigerian has been linked with moves to other big clubs in Europe with even some sides in England interested in him.

Local Nigerian media have also linked the 47-year-old Egbo with the possibility of replacing Gernot Rohr at the Super Eagles.

Gernot Rohr has not been able to win any major trophy for Nigeria since he was appointed as the Super Eagles coach by the Nigeria Football Federation.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Nigerian professional football manager Ndubuisi Emmanuel Egbo wrote his name in the history books by becoming the first African coach to win a title with an European side.

This was after the former Super Eagles goalie helped his club Tirana to win the 2019/20 Albania League title in a remarkable style.
