Neco Williams was on hand to receive a Premier League medal despite managing just six games for Liverpool in the last campaign and he has now committed his future to the club.
The 19-year-old who joined the Reds’ senior team from the youth side in 2019 made his debut for the club at the just concluded season and he is delighted to have signed a further extension.
Reports from the club’s training camp in Austria have it that the youngster has agreed to a new contract which will see him remain until 2025.
He told the club’s website: "It feels amazing. At the minute, for me, I think there is no better place to learn and to become a better player than being here and working with the lads.
"I think we've got some of the best players in the world and we're one of the best teams in the world.
"For me personally, especially learning off Trent and Robbo every day, getting their advice, seeing what they say, it's only going to make me a better player and I feel it."
Meanwhile, his team-mate Trent Alexander-Arnold pipped Manchester United trio of Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford to the prestigious Premier League Young Player of the Season Award.
The 21-year-old Liverpool defender was the only nominee named in the Premier League Player of the Year shortlist as well as he was instrumental to his side’s league glory.
