Barcelona players returned home as a laughing stock as fans mocked them when they returned from their 8-2 loss to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League.

The Catalan giants were thoroughly humiliated by a ‘well-oiled German machine’ in the form of Bayern Munich as they succumbed to yet another heart-breaking exit from the Champions League for the third successive season.

Bayern were ruthless for the entire 90 minutes scoring four times in either half as Messi and co looked on with so much confusion as they crashed out of the tournament.

And as they returned to Spain, a group of fans were seen booing the Catalan players as some of the stars quickly made away from the scene.

Recall that a photo of ‘broken’ Messi earlier emerged showing the 33-year-old rooted to the dressing room seat with goalkeeper Ter Stegen also lost in thoughts as to what had just happened.
