Trent Alexander-Arnold has beaten Manchester United trio of Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford to the prestigious Premier League Young Player of the Season Award.

The 21-year-old Liverpool defender was the only nominee named in the Premier League Player of the Year shortlist as well as he was instrumental to his side’s league glory.

He helped the Reds to clinch the coveted title for the first time in 30 years as he recorded 4 goals and made 13 assists, one behind Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne who had 14.

The England sensation also edged Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish who was also named in a shortlist which also had Dean Henderson, the Manchester United goalkeeper on loan at Sheffield United.

This year’s gong’s has been presented to Alexander-Arnold who recent study has also revealed that is now worth more than Paul Pogba.
