- Jan Oblak is among a number of goalkeepers Chelsea have lined up as possible replacements for Kepa Arrizabalaga
- Arrizabalaga has failed to live up to his billing at Stamford Bridge, leading to his dropping from the first team
- Oblak has now hinted at a potential switch to west London, but insisted he will assess his options at the end of Atletico's campaign
Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak has not ruled out a potential summer move to Chelsea.
Oblak is wanted at Chelsea as a permanent replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga who has been underwhelming this season.
Arrizabalaga appears to have lost the faith of Frank Lampard after a string of blunders and poor performances.
The Spaniard keeper was used sparingly in the final weeks of the 2019/20 campaign, losing his place between the sticks to Willy Caballero.
As such, Lampard is understood to be in dire need of signing a new goalkeeper, with Oblak emerging as the Blues' number one target.
Oblak, who is currently preparing for Atletico's Champions League clash against RB Leipzig insisted he was only focused on the fixture, but suggested he will assess his options after the end of the campaign.
When probed further on speculation if he could move to the Premier League with Chelsea, Oblak noted there will be time to talk.
"This is not the time for that, now it’s Leipzig. I’ll look back at the season when the last game is over, and hopefully we’ll have three more [games to play]. Then there will be time to talk," Oblak told AS.
The development came amid an understanding that Atletico are not keen to offload the shot stopper any time soon.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Nicolas Tagliafico has aroused the interest of Premier League giants Chelsea in the summer, according to Sky Sports.
The Blues are in desperate need of a left-back ahead of the next season and the west London club are yet to agree to a fee for Leicester City star, Ben Chilwell.
Tagliafico scored five goals with the same number of assists for the Amsterdam club in their impressive last campaign.
Chelsea are also looking towards the direction of Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilon who has been impressive during his loan spell with Sevilla.
