- Cristiano Ronaldo could be making a move to Barcelona this summer
- The 35-year-old forward has won two Serie A League titles with Juventus
- Joining Barcelona will give Ronaldo the chance to play in the same team with Messi
Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo has been reportedly offered to Spanish side Barcelona this summer in what could be the biggest transfer ever in football history.
This is according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague who reported that the former Real Madrid star may be making a return to the Spanish La Liga.
Ronaldo has been playing for Juventus for the past two seasons in which the Portuguese has won the Serie A title two times.
But the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has not been able to win the Champions League with the Old Lady which is one of the major reasons they signed him from Real Madrid.
During Ronaldo's first season at Juventus, the forward and his teammates were sent out of the Champions League by Ajax in the quarterfinal.
Turin fans were of the view that their side would do well this term in the Champions League, but they crashed out losing against Lyon in the round of 16.
Juventus chiefs were angry with their elimination from the Champions League which forced them to sack manager Maurizio Sarri.
However, Balague claimed Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes has been instructed to find a new club for the superstar and Barcelona were among the teams approached.
The contact with Barcelona raises the mouthwatering prospect of Ronaldo and Lionel Messi playing together for the first time in their careers.
They have been rivals for more than ten years and among them these two players have won 11 Ballon d'Or awards.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Super Eagles winger Moses Simon named Portuguese international Ronaldo as the player he is modelling himself after considering his superb performances over the years.
Ronaldo is one of the greatest footballers in the world and has won five Ballon d'Or awards.
Barcelona legend Messi is the only player who has won more Ballon d'Or awards than Ronaldo with the Argentine having six.
After his superb performances last season in the French League, Moses Simon was named as the club's player of the year and became the first Nigerian to get the award at the club.
