- Gareth Bale was frozen out of Real Madrid squad last season by manager Zidane
- The former Tottenham star was also not part of Real Madrid's squad against Man City
- Alvaro Morata and goalkeeper Keylor Navas is another goalie frozen out by Zidane
Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale has been frozen out of the Spanish champions by manager Zinedine Zidane who failed to give the Welshman active playing time last season.
Although Real Madrid won the Spanish La Liga title, the relationship between Bale and Zidane was not superb.
Bale was also left out of Real Madrid's Champions League game against Manchester City, and instead of the player watching the game, he decided to go and play golf.
But Bale is by no means the first Real Madrid star to be frozen out by the French boss at Spanish side Real Madrid.
We take a look at some other players who have been frozen out at Real Madrid by Zinedine Zidane.
Keylor Navas was for years Real Madrid's number one goalkeeper until towards the end of 2018/19 season when Zidane frozed him out of the team.
Zidane later signed Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea which forced Navas to French side Paris Saint-Germain.
Morata returned to Real Madrid after a successful stint at Juventus hoping to finally become the club's No. 1 striker at the Bernabeu.
But the Spaniard was forced to leave Real Madrid for a move to Chelsea due to his lack of active playing time.
Despite becoming one of the most-sought-after stars in Europe during his time in Germany, Zidane was quick to say he didn't want him.
Hakimi was sold permanently to Inter Milan just this summer after being frozen out.
Other players who were affected are Mateo Kovacic, Dani Ceballos and Llorente.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Gareth Bale was spotted playing golf in Madrid after excluding himself from Real Madrid's tough Champions League encounter against Premier League side Manchester City.
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane explained that the former Tottenham winger told him that he will not be available for the Champions League tie.
Before missing the tie against Manchester City, Gareth Bale also missed Real Madrid's last seven games to end the 2019/20 Spanish La Liga season.
