Nicolas Tagliafico has aroused the interest of Premier League giants Chelsea in the summer, according to Sky Sports.
The Blues are in desperate need of a left-back ahead of the next season and the west London club are yet to agree a fee for Leicester City star Ben Chilwell.
The England international will cost Chelsea a whopping £60million but the 2015 Premier League champions are considering an affordable alternative in Tagliafico.
The Argentine international has two years left on his contract with Ajax and Spanish sides Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are interested in the 27-year-old.
Tagliafico scored five goals with the same number of assists for the Amsterdam club in their impressive last campaign.
Chelsea are also looking towards the direction of Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilon who has been impressive during his loan spell with Sevilla.
Sevilla are currently in the round of 16 in the Europa League Reguilon has played a major part of their progress in the competition this season.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Chelsea have reportedly reignited their interest in signing Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel this summer.
The Blues have been shopping for a new number as a replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga who had a very poor outing last season despite the world-class fee they paid to sign him.
Although Frank Lampard has also been linked with a move to land Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak, Ajax keeper Andre Onana, Manchester United's on-loan keeper Dean Henderson among others.
Legit.ng also reported that Chelsea are ready to trade four players to help land Ben Chilwell's transfer from Leicester City, reports claim.
Frank Lampard has made the England international his priority this summer after the arrival of Hakim Ziyech and potentially Timo Werner.
According to Times, Chilwell would cost the Blues a fee of around £85m and Lampard is ready to sell four players to fund the move for the left-back.
