Premier League giants Manchester United have qualified for the 2019/2020 Europa League semifinal after beating FC Copenhagen 1-0 on Monday night, August 10.

The victory however did not come to Manchester United easily as the labored from the start of the encounter in which they were also forced to extra time.

Manchester United started the duel on an impressive note knowing fully well that this is the only competition remaining for them this season.

Marcus Rashford had the chance to score the first goal for Manchester United in the fourth minute after being set up by Mason Greenwood, but he failed to score.

Five minutes later, Copenhagen had the chance to open scoring through Zeca who got a pass from Jonas Wind, but failed to beat Manchester United goalie Sergio Romero.

United fans thought they had scored the opener in the 45th minute through Mason Greenwood, but after consulting the VAR system, the goal was disallowed for offside.

The Red Devils waited till the 95th minute before scoring their goal through Bruno Fernandes after Andreas Bjelland conceded a penalty for pushing Anthony Martial.
