Chidozie Awaziem has reportedly turned down a loan move to Turkish club Caykur Rizespor, according to Complete Sports.

The 23-year-old spent the entire 2019/20 campaign on loan with La Liga club Leganes from Portuguese giants FC Porto.

Leganes were relegated to the Segunda Division last season but his impressive showing with the Cucumber Growers has caught the eye of another Spanish side Sevilla who will be playing in the Champions League next term.

The Nigerian international made 26 league appearances for Leganes playing alongside Super Eagles teammate Kenneth Omeruo in the heart of the defence.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Spanish La Liga giants Sevilla are reportedly interested in the signing of Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem after the end of his loan spell at Leganes.

The 23-year-old Nigerian footballer played for Leganes at the just concluded Spanish La Liga 2019/20 season in which the club relegated to the second division.

But despite the relegation of Leganes from the first division, the Nigerian is rated among the best players for the season considering his superb performances.

Legit.ng also reported that Chidozie Awaziem has become a father for the first time as he posted a photo of his newborn baby girl on social media.

The Super Eagles star whose side Leganes relegated at the end of the current La Liga put the disappointment behind him.

The 23-year-old wasted no time in expressing his uttermost joy as he captioned the picture of his baby girl Christel on Instagram: "I can't explain the way I feel right now...thank you God for giving me Christel, Latest dad in town."
