Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Monalisa Chinda, recently shared some encouraging words with her fans and followers via her Instagram page.

Looking at the ivory screen goddess, one may find it difficult to believe that she can ever get body-shamed. Well, the actress has revealed that she in fact used to get insulted over how she looks.

In a recent post shared to her Instagram page of over 1 million followers, the Nollywood star stated that she has been called all sorts of names but she didn't let it define her. Rather, it defined her bullies.

She went on to advise people never to let such words affect them but rather, keep their heads up and be the best they can be.

Chinda wrote:"Thunder thighs, big butts, Too fat, too skinny, too short, too tall, too white,, too black, too anything and too everything...

I have been there.. Body shaming et all.. Someone once called me miss piggie! But does that define me? NO! It defines that person!! Keep your head high and be the best you can be for the author and finisher of your faith.... After all we are all never enough... That is life.."

Just recently, Nollywood actress, Biodun Okeowo, was the latest target of a troll online. The troll had taken to the film star’s page to say that her arms looked like water yams.

To that, the actress responded by saying that she loved her arms and that brands pay millions just for her to market their clothes with her body.
