Caglar Soyuncu could be making a big summer move to Barcelona from Leicester City in a deal worth £36million.
The 24-year-old had a splendid season with the Foxes helping them finish in fifth position and qualify for the Europa League.
The Turkish international lived up to expectation when the club sold their captain Harry Maguire to Manchester United.
Soyuncu has excelled in the central defensive position with Johny Evans and this has attracted the interest of Barcelona.
And Turkish news media out NTV Spor have confirmed that the Spanish giants are interested in signing the center-back.
The reports further stated that La Blaugrana will offer the young central defender a five-year contract.
If Soyuncu joins Barca, he would be the third Turkish player to feature for the Camp Nou outfit after Recber Rustu and Arda Turan.
He joined Bundesliga club Freiburg from Turkish side Altinordu for just £2.2m in 2016 and Leicester paid £19m for his services in 2018.
Sonyuncu made 42 appearances in all competitions last season for the Foxes and scored once for Brendan Rodgers' side.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Lionel Messi's recent lashing at his Barcelona teammates has reportedly had a negative effect on the team ahead of their Champions League fixture with Napoli.
The Argentine was not happy with Barca's defeat to Osasuna resulting in Real Madrid winning La Liga on matchday 37.
According to Spanish news media outlet Diario GOL, three midfielders have fallen out with Messi and are ready to leave the club at the end of their Champions League campaign.
Legit.ng had also reported that Premier League side Chelsea have been hit with a severe blow on the possibility of them signing Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Stegen who is now on the verge of signing new deal.
The 28-year-old German currently has two more years left on his contract at Barcelona and there have been speculation over his future at the Nou Camp.
But according to the report on UK Sun, Barcelona are not ready to lose their goalkeeper and they are ready to tie him down for a long term contract.
