APC shows Nigerians how far Buhari has gone on Lagos-Ibadan railway project

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the United Kingdom has given Nigerians an update of the Lagos-Ibadan railway projects that has been embarked upon by the federal government.

In a video posted on its verified and official Twitter page, the APC in the UK revealed, especially to detractors of the Buhari-led government, that the project is not a scam as some think.

In the brief video clip, it could be seen that the track network is already being test run with state-of-the-art train that matches international standard.

The ruling party expressed gratitude to the president, his vice, Yemi Osinbajo,, the minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, the minister of state for transportation, Gbemisola Ruqayyah and the ministry, for this laudable effort that will no doubt improve the lives of Nigerians.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Amaechi on Saturday, July 18, announced that the Itakpe/Warri rail line had been completed and is ready for commissioning.

Amaechi, widely regarded as the best minister in the Buhari administration, says plans were already in place to ensure the project is commissioned soon by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The 55-year old minister had led journalists, transport ministry officials, senior officials of the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) and other stakeholders on an inspection of the site.

“We are planning for the president to perform virtual commissioning of this project. The contractors have since concluded their jobs and left the site, the only contractor left is the CCECC, and they will soon leave as well and hand over to NRC,” he announced.

An excited Amaechi heaped praises on the contractors - China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) and Julius Berger Nigeria Plc for what he says is a job well done.

“I am satisfied with the job done by CCECC, the team and Julius Berger. The contractors must be commended for a good job delivery,” the minister said.
