Philippe Coutinho is close to completing a return to the Premier League to join north London outfit Arsenal, according to his agent.
Kia Joorabchian claims the transfer for the embattled Barcelona midfielder is at an advanced stage.
Coutinho has failed to justify his £145million move to the Camp Nou from Liverpool during the 2018 January window.
The Brazilian winger has spent the whole of last season with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich on loan but has failed to earn a permanent move to the Allianz Arena outfit.
But the 28-year-old has been linked with a couple of Premier League clubs recently following his impressive showing with Liverpool in the past.
And Arsenal have declared their interest in bringing the former Inter Milan star back to the English topflight division next season.
According to Spanish news media outlet Sport, Coutinho's loan move is on the verge of being completed as the Gunners love the midfielder.
Arsenal's relationship with his agent Joorabchian has helped seal moves for David Luiz and Cedric Soares to the Emirates at the just concluded season.
Joorabchian is also the agent Chelsea star Willian and it is understood he is close to signing for Mikel Arteta's side after failing to reach a new agreement with the Blues.
“It's no secret he wants to come back to the Premier League.
“It's still very much open. There is a lot of genuine interest.
“He loves playing in the Premier League, he is adored playing in the Premier League and that is one of his priorities,” Joorabchian said at the end of July regarding Coutinho's transfer which was quoted by Mirror.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Barcelona are reportedly interested in Arsenal outcast Matteo Guendouzi while Philippe Coutinho moves to the other side.
The Gunners boss Mikel Arteta who recently guided his side to the FA Cup final seems to have frozen the 21-year-old midfielder out of his team over his antics at Brighton.
He has not featured for the North Londoners since their 2-1 defeat at the Amex Stadium on June 20 - with Real Madrid and the Catalans monitoring his situation.
