Nigeria is a society with different ethnic groups as well as different religions. However, the two main religions are Islam and Christianity.
Despite all the different groups people belong to, peace continues to be preached as every group tries to live in harmony with the other.
However, recent happenings prove that there is still a lot to be done for people in the country to see themselves as one.
Just recently, Muslims all over the world concluded their Eid-el-Adha celebrations and in the spirit of the festivities, they gave out food to their neighbours who practice other religions.
A young man identified as Alan recently took to his Twitter page to recount how his mother used anointing oil to refry the sallah meat she was given.
He wrote: “Can we talk about how somebody gave my mum sallah meat and my mum refried it with anointing oil."
See the tweet below:
As expected, Alan’s revelation caused a number of interesting reactions on Twitter. While many Christians did not see anything wrong with the move and even used scriptures to back it up, some Muslims felt that his mother should simply have declined to collect the meat rather than her next move.
