Alexis Sanchez's permanent move to Inter Milan from Man United has finally been agreed, reports coming from Italy.
Italian news media outlet Corriere della Sera, Inter's sporting director Beppe Marotta has finally accepted a deal with United for the Chilean worth £13.5million.
It is understood the winger will be officially announced as an Inter player after their Europa League clash with Getafe in midweek.
The Red Devils have been desperate to let Sanchez leave the club due to his massive £350,000 a week wages at Old Trafford.
Sanchez hardly featured at the club since his 2018 January move from Arsenal after his career has been threatened with several injury problems.
The 31-year-old was loaned out to the Nerrazzurri where he has rediscovered his form since his move to the San Siro.
But Inter only pay about £150,000 of his wages while United foot the larger part of Sanchez's earnings.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Barcelona star will now earn £13.5m salary in the next three years.
United will now focus their attention on settling their transfer with Borussia Dortmund's prodigy Jadon Sancho who has been valued at £108m.
Sanchez scored for goals and provided nine assists for Inter at the just concluded 2019-20 which was hampered by injury problems.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Italian giants Inter Milan have expressed interest in wanting to make Alexis Sanchez's deal at the club permanent.
The Nerazzurri have had an impressive season under Antonio Conte, who made some ambitious signings in the summer including some high profile loan deals.
Sanchez, 31, joined Inter in the summer of 2019 and despite making a fairly slow start, he has been rather impressive in recent months for the club.
Legit.ng had also reported that Alexis Sanchez is reportedly set to return to his parent club as the Red Devils are unwilling to extend his loan deal at Inter Millan.
According to The Mirror, the 31-year old could return to Old Trafford as early as July to help the team campaign for Europe.
The motivations behind the discontinuation of his loan deal are quite odd, as reports indicate United are unwilling to further bolster Inter’s attack as they consider the Italian giants as competition.
