Victor Osimhen who has just completed his switch from Ligue 1 side Lille to Italian giants Napoli has started settling to new life in Italy as reports say he is already shopping for an apartment in Naples.

The 21-year-old has officially joined Italia Serie A side Napoli as the club finally unveiled the youngster on Friday, July 31 after weeks of trying to seal the deal.

Napoli completed the transfer agreement for the Nigerian striker for fee plus an array of potential bonuses that takes the deal up to €50million (about N23billion).

The two clubs, Lille and Napoli, signed the final relevant documents on Friday, July 24 with Osimhen having already passed a medical with the Serie A club in Rome a week earlier.

It would be recalled that the former youth international made an impressive mark in France in his debut season, scoring 18 goals and six assists across competitions.

He will now stay in Naples until 2025 and have an option to further the deal for another one year and this comes at a time when Napoli star Dries Mertens also offered to help the Nigerian settle at the club.

“I want to help the team and the young players, that’s my future,” Dries Mertens said.

“I want to help Osimhen and (Andrea) Petagna (another new signing), we can play together.

“It’s difficult to come from another country and settle in, we must help them fit in here.”

Meanwhile, earlier reported that Osimhen is certain his late parents are proud of him after completing his move from Lille to Serie A giants Napoli in a deal valued around $96 million.

The 21-year-old who is an orphan lost his mother at a young age before losing his father back in May.

But according to the young striker, his mother and father would be proud of him after becoming Africa’s most expensive player.

Osimhen became the most expensive African player of all time after completing the move to his new club.

And minutes after Napoli confirmed the deal, Osimhen took to his Twitter page to post a touching message. He tweeted: “Mom and dad are proud for sure.”
