- Kasper Schmeichel could be on his way to Old Trafford this summer
- The Red Devils are looking for another goalkeeper who will replace De Gea
- Schmeichel has three more years on his contract at Leicester City
Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly considering a summer move for Leicester City goalie Kasper Schmeichel as replacement for David De Gea.
At the just concluded Premier League season, David De Gea was not impressive for Manchester United which made fans to criticize the Spanish goalkeeper.
According to the report on UK Sun, Manchester United chiefs see the 33-year-old as someone with good experience to succeed at Old Trafford.
But the Red Devils will have to go to the King Power stadium with massive deal so as to convince Leicester chiefs to sell as Kasper has three more years on his deal.
Jan Oblak is another goalkeeper linked with Manchester United, but the Red Devils might not be able to roll out Atletico Madrid's asking price.
He is desperate for a trusted keeper as he prepares for a Prem challenge and the club’s return to the Champions League next season.
In their campaign last two seasons, Manchester United under Mourinho failed to qualify for the Champions League and ended up playing the Europa League.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Premier League side Manchester United are reportedly considering summer move for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi as Solskjaer wants to bolster his team for next season.
The Red Devils finished among the top four at the just concluded Premier League season, but they were unable to win any title.
Callum Hudson-Odoi on the other hand is said to be frustrated with lack of active playing time last term in which he started only seven games for the Blues.
A combination of injuries and a lack of form has stalled his development since he penned a lucrative five-year contract last year.
With Pedro leaving Chelsea this summer, Manchester United will find it hard to convince Chelsea for them to sell Hudson-Odoi out.
Chelsea have also failed to win any title this season, but the good news is that the Blues will play in the Champions League next term.
