A Twitter user identified as Harrison Mbamara has taken to social media to make a case against the tradition of a man kneeling before a woman to propose to her.
Mbamara shared a photo to show how it is supposed to be done. According to him, it should be the other way round.
In the photo shared by the young man, a couple called Joel and Peace was spotted in the image. It was their traditional wedding and the groom was seen on his feet while his bride Peace was on her knees.
While she was on her knees, her husband slipped a ring into one of her fingers.

Speaking further on the photo, Mbamara urged single men to take note and follow what they see in the image he shared. According to him, women are supposed to be on their knees when they receive their engagement ring from their partners.
The young man revealed that men are kings and they shouldn't be kneeling down for women but women should. According to him, a king is a king.

A Nigerian man identified as Harry D Vil stated that there is nothing like 50/50 in marriages and that a husband is superior to his wife. He told women that their husbands are their bosses and they shouldn't allow social media to break their homes.
In a similar story, a Nigerian woman named Clara Chekwube spoke about what is expected of a woman in marriage. She said that no matter how modern the world gets, she would never believe she and her husband are mates.
Chekwube went further and said that there is always a hierarchy in marriage, adding that she believes as a traditional woman, her husband is the head of the home.
