Victor Osimhen was spotted in Lagos talking to a couple of youths practicing on a football pitch.

The Super Eagles star who is yet to be officially confirmed as Napoli's new signing stopped to encourage a set to young footballers.

He shared his experience growing up and how people told him he would remain poor for the rest of his life.

In the midst of up to like 15 boys Osimhen said: "Someone once told me and my sister that we are going to live in a one-room apartment for the rest of our lives.

"To God be the glory the woman is still living in the same apartment. Don't let anything anybody tells you to affect you.

The 22-year-old forward also emphasized on working for their money legitimately and believe in themselves they would become stars in the future.

"For money, if you work legitly it will come. You don't need to put your hand inside something unclean.

" Even if you tell a herbalist to put some skill on your leg the fact is that if you don't know how to play, it won't work.

"You don't need to tell somebody to rub something on your boots, better still use the bible," quoted from Soar Super Eagles.

Osimhen enjoyed an incredible debut season in France, scoring 13 Ligue 1 goals for Lille who ended the campaign in the fourth spot before the league was cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen recently rejected a mega move to join Italian side Napoli with his agent Osita Okolo claiming that the Super Eagles star did that based on private reason.

There was high expectation when Victor Osimhen was spotted in Italy where he went to have talks with Napoli chiefs over a possible summer move.

But at the long run, no deal was agreed and the Nigerian striker moved back to France where he currently plays for French Ligue 1 side Lille.
