Premier League giants Manchester City have reportedly agreed on a massive deal with Spanish side Valencia for the summer signing of right winger Ferran Torres.

Since the Citizens were dethroned as champions of England by Liverpool, Pep Guardiola and his chiefs want to bolster their squad so as to fight for honours next season.

According to the report on UK Sun, the two clubs involved have agreed on a deal which will make Ferran Torres sign a five year deal with Manchester City.

Ferran Torres will arrive at the Etihad stadium for an initial fee of £20.8m plus up to £10.8m worth of add-ons.

The report added that the 20-year-old Spaniard will be a replacement for David Silva who has left Manchester City after 10 years in the Premier League.

Torres can play on either flank which will make things easy for Pep Guardiola who is also looking for a player to replace Leroy Sane.

At the just concluded Spanish La Liga season, Torres played 34 games for Valencia scoring four goals as his club finished at ninth best on the final table.

Meanwhile, Manchester City are preparing for their Champions League battle against Real Madrid with hopes of progressing to the next round.

Charlie McNeill has rejected a contract at Manchester City and the young striker is now on the verge of leaving the Etihad stadium.

By September this year, Charlie will turn 17 and Manchester City or Manchester United must agree on a deal with him for them not to risk the financials being ruled on at tribunal.

They remain locked in talks and it is understood McNeill will cost a seven-figure sum, given his goal-scoring exploits in the academy teams and international experience.

The Etihad landlords would hope to include a number of additional performance-related clauses, but are currently at a stalemate with the Red Devils.
