House repossession rumour: I know some people want it to be true - Toke Makinwa

- Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa, has finally shunned her detractors on social media

- A number of Twitter users claimed the house had been given to her by billionaire businessman, Festus Fadeyi

Being in the public eye can be glamorous but it is also just as brutal. Some celebrities are no strangers to being the subject of rumours and bullying and they have come to take it as the price to pay for fame.

Nigerian socialite and media personality, Toke Makinwa, is one star who is used to being in the news but not always for positive reasons. It appears she is a celeb that people love to hate but she has managed to continue living her life regardless.

Just recently, Toke was on the lips of many Nigerians on Twitter after rumours went viral that her Banana Island home had been repossessed by Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).

The source of the rumour did not seem to be determined but a lot of Nigerians went with it and called her out on social media.

Eventually, the media personality’s publicist shared a statement denying the claims that her house was repossessed and her fans celebrated with her on social media.

In a new post shared on Twitter, Toke shunned her haters. She said that she knew that a number of people really wanted the rumours to be true then she apologised for disappointing them.

She wrote: “I know some people want it to be true so bad.... apologies, not this time, not ever."

Just recently, the self-styled baby girl for life took to her Twitter page to share how she feels marriages should have expiry dates that are subject to renewal just like contracts.
