Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has certainly come a long way from the skinny kid who took the Manchester derby by storm under Louis Van Gaal.

The 22-year old has currently established himself at Old Trafford as one of the prime pieces of the United puzzle and has been integral for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season.

On the humanitarian front, Rashford is also a man with quite the massive heart as he single-handedly managed to make the UK government make a U-turn on the decision to ensure school children were guaranteed free food vouchers throughout the summer.

Rashford recently let in Bleacher Sport to his house where he discussed a number of key incidents in his life including what he did with his very first substantial paycheck at Manchester United.

While many players typically would have used the funds to get a decent apartment to kick start their professional career, Rashford had other plans in mind.

And the plans revolved around his mother Melanie Rashford whom the forward helped clear her mortgage.

“I actually paid off the mortgage that my mom had on the house. It was actually something I and my brothers had spoken about and it was something I wanted to do and I think it was important to do that,” Rashford explained.

Rashford is extremely close to his mother Melanie, a former banker, who played a key role in her son’s success.

It just happens that the forward’s mom actually pushed to have him in the Manchester United academy a bit too early so he could at least escape the low-income lifestyle of their family back then.

This was why Rashford was at the Manchester United academy by the tender age of 11.

As a way to give back to his mother, Rashford rented a swanky KSh 112 million home for her back in 2016.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford's mansion appears a little different from the rest of his teammates.

The England international played a key role in the Red Devils' third-place finish on the Premier League table - scoring 17 goals and eight assists in 21 appearances.

His tally, so far in this campaign, stands at 22 goals and 10 assists across competitions - although, he could increase the number when the Europa League resumes next month.
