Radamel Falcao’s jerseys are already flying off shelves with huge purchases at the MLS side Inter Miami as transfer announcement for the Colombian star is now imminent.
Photos began swirling on social media of the Inter Miami jerseys on store racks with the name of former on-loan Manchester United and Chelsea striker.
Several pictures showing fans clad in the player’s supposed Inter Miami jerseys have continued to circulate around the world fueling speculations that he would be joining the club.
No one has admitted to printing the jerseys as it can’t be confirmed if they are authentic, but an Instagram account that features several of the photos of fans in Falcao jerseys claims to be a group "persuading our team to sign Radamel Falcao Garcia."
Falcao is officially tied to a contract with Turkish outfit Galatasaray, but he has been a major target for the MLS club since 2018.
It was gathered that part-owner David Beckham told a Colombian outlet in 2019 that he's looking to sign players from the South American country for his new expansion team.
Falcao was definitely the subject of the jersey-fueled chatter on Tuesday, July 28, among Miami supporters and Colombian media.
Surprisingly, the 34-year-old recently emerged number one on the list of top 50 most overrated footballers of all time according to fans, in a report compiled by UK outlet SPORTbible.
On the list, as voted by fans, some questionable players also ranked very high as fans argue over the idea of underrating and overrating the stars.
With players such as Edgar Davids, Paul Scholes, Robert Lewandowski, and Ronaldinho making the list questioned the results, but the top 10 is very controversial to say the least.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that David Bechkam could barely watch as his Inter Miami side became the first team to crash out of the Major League Soccer after the tournament was restarted on Monday, July 20.
Inter Miami were narrowly defeated 1-0 by New York City FC courtesy of a second half strike from Libya international Ismael Tajouri-Shradi.
The goal alone kept New York’s hopes of reaching the knockout rounds alive while condemning Miami to a first round exit from Group A in Orlando.
