It is no longer news that a lot of Nigerians do not feel safe with the policemen around. This is mostly because some of these policemen have proven to be corrupt and are willing to go to great lengths to extort those unlucky enough to fall into their traps.

A video recently made the rounds on social media of a man tussling with a policeman after he shot at him and his family in his car.

The bullet, which thankfully did not hit the man, his children or his wife, successfully dented the car trunk and also broke the car’s glass.

A concerned citizen took to Twitter to share the video and called on activists to look into the matter. The Twitter user identified as Selfless Ayodele explained that the policeman decided to shoot because he was refused a bribe.

See the video below:

In another post, Ayodele said that something should be done to help as the police were trying to sweep the matter under the carpet. He added that the wife fainted as a result of the police encounter.

Ayodele also shared more videos of the incident. See below:

Sadly the matter could no longer be pursued because the victim asked that the case be dropped because the police promised to fix his car and that they pleaded with him.
