Canadian rap superstar Drake has just made history as the only artiste with the highest number of top 10 hits on the US chart history.

The Guardian reports that the rapper snagged the position from Madonna after his two features with DJ Khaled, Popstar which currently occupies number three and Greece which seats at number eight, rounded up his number of top 10 hits to a total of 40.

Drake beat Madonna’s record by two songs as she was occupying the position before with a total of 38 top 10 songs.

According to the same media, the rap musician also broke a record earlier on in March after he emerged as the artiste with the most number of hit songs on the US Hot 100 chart with a total of 208 songs.

Entertainment media, Billboard, reports the number of artists with the most hot 100, top 10s as: Drake (40), Madonna (38), The Beatles (34), Rihanna (31), Michael Jackson (30), Mariah Carey (28), Stevie Wonder (28), Janet Jackson (27), Elton John (27), Lil Wayne (25), Elvis Presley (25) and Taylor Swift (25).

The Canadian rapper’s chart run began in 2009 when Best I Ever Had reached number two while Madonna’s run began with Lucky Star which reached number four in 1983.
