Issues of sexual abuse and molestation have become quite prevalent in Nigerian society and it has led to people speaking up against the menace.
These sexual harassments come in many forms and ladies are usually the victims of it. Sometimes, these women are even harassed in the open particularly in public transports.
Veteran Nigerian rapper and human rights activist, Ruggedman, recently took to his Instagram page to share a video of a lady who was being sexually harassed while boarding public transportation.
The lady was seen in a tricycle popularly called keke marwa as a fellow male passenger tried to put his hands up her skirt. The lady made sure to record evidence before confronting her abuser.
After the man was confronted and called out for putting his hands inside her cloth, the man denied it saying the lady was completely wrong despite the evidence being on video.
In reaction to the video, Ruggedman said that the man is a pervert and he proceeded to ask why some men act that way.
The rapper went further to lecture fans that what took place in the video was abuse and that it is wrong to touch anybody inappropriately.
He wrote: “This man either has the longest hands or he is a pervert.
What is wrong with some men these days?
Please sirs, incase you weren't thought or told, IT IS WRONG TO TOUCH ANYBODY INAPPROPRIATELY.
What is all this rubbish?
Cant women move around safely without one type of harassment or the other?”
