Jürgen Klopp guided Liverpool to Premier League glory for the first time in 30 years and he has now emerged the League Managers Association manager of the year.

The German tactician won the award on Monday night, July 27, beating Wycombe's manager Gareth Ainsworth and Sheffield United’s Chris Wilder to the prestigious individual accolade.

The prestigious award is named the 'Sir Alex Ferguson trophy' and the Manchester United legend sent a special video message to the Liverpool boss.

“And, of course, the winner: Jürgen Klopp. Jürgen: fantastic. I speak about Leeds United, 16 years in the Championship,” Ferguson said.

“Liverpool, 30 years since winning that league - incredible and thoroughly deserved. The performance level of your team was outstanding. Your personality went right through the whole club. I think it was a marvellous, marvellous performance."

Meanwhile, Paul Pogba has given a massive hint to Man United fans that he will still be a Red Devil shortly after their win at Leicester City.

United secured a top-four finish in the Premier League and booked their place in next season's Champions League.

It took second half goals from Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard to get the better of the Foxes at the King Power Stadium.

United legend Roy Keane had also praised Pogba for his recent form and urged the Frenchman to show more consistency in his game.

The 29-year-old centre-back crowned his efforts by helping his side end their 30-year wait for the Premier League title having narrowly missed it to Manchester City the previous campaign.
