Nigerian actor and filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan, recently took to his official social media page with a post dedicated to his late father, Adeyemi Josiah Akano Afolayan popularly known as Ade Love.

The celebrated Nollywood star penned a short tribute to his father and shared it on his Instagram page.

In the post, Afolayan who noted that he misses his old man extended his gratitude to him for getting married to many women when he was alive.

According to him, if his father was not polygamous, he would not have had the privilege to be called his son.

"I miss you, Baba mi, but thank you for marrying many wives because I would not have been privileged to be called your son," his post read in part.

The Nollywood filmmaker accompanied his post with a photo collage of himself and his father. In his caption, he teasingly noted that he knows he looks finer than his late parent.

The post generated mixed reactions from his fans on the platform.

One lady said: "Only knew him as Ade love.. from only one of his movies I watched and I was too young to even remember his face but my parents had wonderful tales to tell about how he was a huge part of their courtship as they went to the cinema often to see his movies.. Afolayan shared photos of his page in which he was spotted cruising into is compound in a new 1929 Mercedes Benz.

“I am an old soul, vintage mind, classic blood in contemporary body,” the actor said in the caption that accompanied the photos.
