Manchester United got so many people excited after qualifying for the Champions League championship next season.

The Red Devils defeated Leicester City 2-0 at the King Power Stadium on Premier League final day to finish behind Liverpool and Manchester City.

A goal each from January signing Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard did the magic for the visitors after regulation period.

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury could not hide his excitement after the final whistle, celebrating the club for the feat they achieved.

The 30-year-old pugilist took to his official Twitter account posting Ole Gunnar Solakjser's picture with the caption: “We did it @ManUtd champions league football for us next season, #weareback #ollie.”

It would be recalled that Solskjaer invited the British boxer to motivate his players earlier this year - sharing his experience and how he overcame alcohol, depression, and other negative issues.

Fury bounced back from all that to dethrone Deontay Wilder and claim the WBC title in February at the MGM Grand Arena. It was their second bout after the first ended in a stalemate.

When asked whether the progress he made proved he was the right man for the job, he added: “It’s a massive challenge.

I believe in what I do and what I’ve been doing. We all have different ideas of management. “I do it my way. I’m not going to say I’m not the man because I am in the job.”

Man United are still in contention for the Europa League title as they hope to bring the cup back to Old Trafford three years after they lifted the title under former boss Jose Mourinho.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Chelsea and Manchester United have secured their places in next season's Champions League competition following their 2-0 win over Wolves and the 2-0 win against Leicester City respectively.

The Blues scored two second-half goals from Mason Mount and Olivier Giroud to book their place in the top four.

It also took a second-half penalty from Bruno Fernandes to score the only goal away at Leicester after Anthony Martial was brought down by Johnny Evans.
