- Jan Oblak could be on his way to Man United in the summer to replace David de Gea
- The Old Trafford out have joined Chelsea in a bid to sign the Atletico Madrid star
- Oblak's release clause with Atletico has been placed around £109million
Jan Oblak has now become a summer target for Manchester United as the Old Trafford club looks to replace unstable David de Gea.
But the Red Devils will have to battle with Premier League rivals Chelsea for the signature of the Slovenian shot-stopper.
With the errors being committed by De Gea and Kepa Arrizabalaga this season, both clubs have resulted in signing the Atletico Madrid star who has been consistent in the last six years.
But the 27-year-old's release clause with the Wanda Metropolitano outfit stands around 109million but Atletico might be given in to pressure to fund other signings in the summer.
And due to the global pandemic, a lower amount will be accepted from the La Liga side for the Slovenian international.
Oblak has been without a league title since he joined Atletico in the past six seasons and it is understood the goalkeeper is ready to move to where he would win trophies.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a decision to make this summer regarding De Gea's future at the club whose mistakes do not justify his huge wages.
On the other hand, Dean Henderson who has been on loan at Sheffield United has been in excellent form for the Blades this season.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Premier League giants Chelsea have reportedly been told by Spanish side Atletico Madrid that they will have to pay the massive sum of £110 million for them to have goalkeeper, Jan Oblak.
The 27-year-old Slovenian goalie is rated among the best goalkeepers in Europe considering his superb performances for Atletico Madrid during the 2019/20 La Liga season.
Atletico Madrid chiefs are aware that Jan Oblak is wanted by many clubs in Europe and they are demanding a world-record fee for the goalie.
Legit.ng also reported that Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of losing goalkeeper Sergio Romero who is said to be frustrated for Ole Solskjaer's refusal to drop David De Gea.
David De Gea who is Manchester United number one goalkeeper is currently not finding it rosy at Old Trafford and there have been many calls for Solskjaer to drop the Spaniard.
