Victor Osimhen has officially joined Italia Serie A side Napoli as the club have finally unveiled the youngster after weeks of trying to seal the deal.

Napoli completed the transfer agreement for the 21-year-old for fee plus an array of potential bonuses that takes the deal up to €50million (about N23billion).

The two clubs, Lille and Napoli, signed the final relevant documents on Friday, July 24 with Osimhen having already passed a medical with the Serie A club in Rome a week earlier.

The forward, who had spent just 12 months with Les Dogues, joins on a 5-year contract, with the option to extend that deal by a further sixth year.

Osimhen attracted interests from other top European clubs with Jose Mourinho's Tottenham Hotspur also trying their luck for the forward, but Napoli has finally ended all speculations.

It would be recalled that the former youth international made an impressive mark in France in his debut season, scoring 18 goals and six assists across competitions.

He will now stay in Naples until 2025 and have an option to further the deal for another one year.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that former Nigeria international Emmanuel Amuneke has stated emphatically that Lille striker Victor Osimhen has the potential of becoming greater than Didier Drogba.
