Speaking with journalists after the said meeting with President Buhari, Buni said that Dogara is now a member of the APC.

Meanwhile, reported that Dogara had warned that it had never ended well for anyone who betrayed Nigeria.

Dogara issued the warning on Monday, May 4, when he called on Nigerians to stop all discussions on social media which are capable of hurting the unity of Nigeria as the country deals with the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement on Facebook, the lawmaker said disunity poses a greater threat to the nation than acts of terror.

"This curse is still in operation like the curse King David placed on mount Gilboa after his soul mate, Jonathan fell there in battle. May this curse be the portion of anyone or authority in our land that defies the unity of our people and continue posting seditious posts on social media or taking actions that further imperils our unity."

Dogara asked Nigerians to learn from the almighty Roman Empire which was never conquered by any invading force but collapsed because it could not endure the contradictions within.

The lawmaker appealed all groups and individuals to cease taking any step that will further polarise the country.
