He said the PDP suit was struck out because the party filed out of time, The Sun reported.

The ex-APC chairman explained that the party disqualified Obaseki from the primaries after it learned from the mistake in Bayelsa state which led to its governorship candidate being disqualified by a court.

He alleged that Obaseki has forged documents and might be sacked by a court just like the case in Bayelsa state.

Meanwhile, the candidate of the APC for the September 19 gubernatorial election in Edo state, is reportedly leading Governor Godwin Obaseki, the flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in an online poll conducted by Ripples Nigeria.

In the result, 48% of respondents said they will vote for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu while 46% picked Obaseki.
